Cloudy
In her new body of work 'Cloudy', the Leipzig artist Sarah Pschorn creates porcelain sculptures like clouds, waves or heaps - powerful, moving, humorous entities - almost soft, almost solid. They remain as intangible as they are blurred, seem to swell or melt. She uses colour subtly in this new series - almost invisible, often only seen through the reflection of light. The palette of 'almost white' is explored here.
2020 - A Year of Change. Sarah Pschorn's work has also changed. The series 'Cloudy' was created during a three-month residency in the former studio of the artist Gerhard Marcks in Niehagen / Ahrenshoop at the Baltic sea. The constant northern light of the studio and the elemental forces of nature influenced the working process.
In November 2020, these works have been presented together with the graphic works of the Berlin artist Valeria Schneider at She Bam! Gallery in Leipzig.
